A Bit About Ming

Ming Chow is a Managing Partner at Ajax Strategies, the climate tech venture capital arm of a family office that invests in next generation mid-stage technologies which have a meaningful impact on climate change and carbon emission reduction, innovating across the energy, transportation, agriculture, and manufacturing sectors. Ming is an expert generalist that brings over two decades of Wall Street investment experience across multiple asset classes and 5 years of venture capital and impact investing experience. She has experience with both startups and running complex organizations and brings a wealth of experience in board governance.

Before joining Ajax, Ming led Strategic Finance and Operations at Lime Micromobility, with a focus on preparing Lime to go public. The overarching goal was to transform Lime into an IPO-ready company, but the pandemic interruption shifted the focus to executing a successful emergency recapitalization to save the company. Additionally, as a part of Lime’s 2025 commitment to be carbon negative, Ming set the strategy to globally transform Lime’s local operations to rely only on zero-emission vehicles and cargo bikes, phasing out all gas vans.

Prior to Lime, Ming spent 5 years at Bocage Capital, a $1.2Bn natural resources hedge fund investing in energy, agriculture and metals equities and commodities as well as 2 years at Sensato Investors, a $2.2Bn Asia focused quantitative hedge fund where she launched the commodity trading strategy. Ming also spent 10 years at BlackRock, where she was responsible for implementing large scale structural portfolio shifts for a wide platform of institutional clients including large public pensions, family offices and sovereign wealth funds. Ming started her career in equity derivatives as one of very few female traders at Lehman Brothers and then at Banc of America Securities. Ming received a B.S. in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
