Albert Luu

Albert Luu is Head of Finance at Heirloom. He oversees the finance organization, including accounting, treasury, FP&A, and capital markets and additionally the legal functions of the company. During his career he has raised and closed more than $10 billion in capital. Prior to joining Heirloom, he was CFO for Complete Solaria and Swell Energy.

Previously Albert was a principal at Lightspeed Capital Management. He served on the management committee of Lightspeed and was responsible for investment activities, originations, capital markets and operations.

Prior to joining Lightspeed, Albert was a Principal in the Global Capital Markets group at Tesla where he was responsible for raising and structuring capital. Previously, he was Vice President, Global Capital Markets at SolarCity. He joined SolarCity in 2010 and helped SolarCity grow to be the largest US commercial and residential solar company. During this time, he raised various forms of tax equity, debt and cash equity. In 2013, he also assisted in SolarCity’s successful initial public offering.

Albert began his career in finance and accounting with RBC Capital Markets and Novogradac & Company LLP. He received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley – Walter A. Haas School of Business. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California.
